Our Land

When we bring together the gentle, temperate climate, the peaks of Mount Taygetus, and the lush, picturesque villages, we discover the unique Messinian plain—a place perfectly suited for cultivating early and late-season crops, and home to the fields of the Konstantakopoulos family.

The ideal location, diverse microclimates, the influence of strong sunlight on the semi-mountainous areas, and the fact that the olive blossoms remain unaffected by any irrigation system, all allow the oil to stay aromatic, preserving its quality characteristics.

History

The paths of two different families, both rooted in agriculture, crossed over time to create Aksion—an olive oil that is truly pure and extra virgin. Sparked by love for their land, a need to work the earth, and the importance of safeguarding future generations, every available cultivation method was put to use, and the first batch of oil was produced in 1949.

From then until today, the promise of the Konstantakopoulos family remains unchanged: a commitment to care for others by offering the finest oil, always ensuring the responsible stewardship of Greek farmland.

The Messinian Olive

From groves that include trees over 200 years old, we produce olive oil that is as pure and extra virgin as it gets, with the highest quality traits. The dominant variety is Koroneiki, known for its balanced character, alongside Arbequina of Spanish origin, Athinolia, and Tragolia—all distinguished by their flavor, thanks to the advantage of the land where they thrive.

Despite the challenges brought by climate change, our skilled and dedicated team ensures the immediate protection of the groves, while also committed to advancing organic farming methods with care and respect for the environment.
